Job Description: Administrative Business Managers are valuable members of our health care team who work to provide appropriate office management necessary to an effective operation using the philosophy, objectives, and policies of this facility.

About us: Breckenridge Commons is an assisted living facility located in Sullivan, Indiana.  Breckenridge Commons is seeking a Administrative Business Manager to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care to our residents. 

About the Role:  Breckenridge Commons is seeking a Administrative Business Manager

  • To be responsible for overseeing all functions of the Business Office.
  • To perform account receivable functions and maintain related records.
  • That analyzes the accounts receivable aging monthly and reports delinquent accounts to the Administrator.
  • That prepares and forwards statements to residents whose cases have been rejected or whose accounts have a balance after coverage terminates.
  • That acquires information required for billing of the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Perform or assist with tours, either prescheduled or walk in, with prospective resident
  • Perform or assist with any marketing events/visits/planning
  • Assist with scheduling move ins/move outs and schedule readying of apartments as needed
  • To manage consumer inquiries whether in person or by telephone and converting them into admissions, as appropriate.
  • Assist families and residents in understanding policies and procedures of the facility and charges made for services rendered.
  • Assist residents and families in adjusting to the new environment of the facility by working closely with all departments.
  • Follow up with residents and families to ensure they are satisfied with the service.
  • Assist families and residents in understanding policies and procedures of the facility and charges made for services rendered.
  • Coordinate with nursing any resident room change and work with maintenance and housekeeping to ensure that rooms are cleaned, repaired and ready for transfers and/or new admissions.
  • That performs duties and/or manages staff responsible for payroll, personnel records, group health insurance records, workers compensation records, accounts payable and secretary/receptionist duties.

About you:  The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience.
 
  • High school graduate or its equivalent.
  • Previous business office management experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, and support agencies and ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Must display good emotional health and be capable of extended periods of standing, bending and heavy lifting.
